Sigh. How did we get here. We got a horny Kazuya with imposter syndrome due to being in the same place as a drop dead gorgeous woman, who he paid to go on dates with him. To a half decent guy, who actually started caring for her wellbeing. And even helped her shy friend gain confidence and self esteem. To being a good guy who busted his balls of his own initiative(which was not about getting in her pants) to help a friend/love interest accomplish her dream to become an actress her grandma could watch on the big screen before she died.

I used to feel some sympathy towards Kazuya. I remember what it was like to be a teenager and have the raging hormones that could kick in any time or place. Even on some basic level, I could understand how he could be so hypersensitive to whatever mizuhara did, and think like that about a crush. Like hell I remember one time a girl actually joined our cross country team and showed up in a sports bra, and even without thinking of her as an interest or looking at her like that, biology did what it will do. I think many teens would have a reaction playing twister with a well endowed crush, even with layers of clothing. And even if they actively tried to avoid looking, the very act of trying not to look might kick in imagination against their will.


But then I remember he is already a grown ass man, and is far worse than even a raging teenager. And I see him just get more and more pathetic the longer this goes on. With any semblance of ManZuya we saw in prior arcs gone like it was just a fever dream. I feel like we need to hold a funeral and candlelight vigil to mourn the brief Kazuya we had. Kazuya, who appears to have Icarus as his role model.

I have zero issues with slow progress. I read stories that go slow(sometimes glacial), I read some that go fast. It's whatever. I just hate when progress is reversed and negated.

If you just give up on expecting actual character development out of the MC it's still a little enjoyable to read. The FMC has had a good amount of growth

I can pinpoint the exact moment this devolved into this cuck domination fantasy: right at the end of the kickstarter movie arc, after chorizo cries in the park, Kazuya holds himself back from holding her as she cries against his chest and turns permanently into cuckzuya

Of course all of that's gonna keep intensifying if he isn't allowed to express it properly. Especially as his contact with her becomes increasingly more intimate.

I don't know if you're talking about my chapters but I got a proofreader and he's been doing god's work on my translations for a while now.
