It was a bit fast, but I actually get it. Mirai was a suicidal wreck with very heavy complex about how others see her. Seeing that Kaya genuinely doesn't see her as monster was a huge shock to her and pulled her out of her despair.
Suicidal (or in this case murder-suicidal) people aren't rational by the definition. A person stopping just because their resolve was shattered isn't unrealistic. Same with their resolve being shattered by a seemingly small thing.
Still, I need to know more how will the series handle the fact that Mutsu still died due to that cursed womb nonsense that Mirai brought on the clan herself.
