well when you forced to do original work which the original author already abandoned cant be helped right ? the original WN(also LN i hear) story already end when corin and the immigrant going to return to forest base, so the story after that might be artist work and not in line with the author

Can somewhat picture the whole "plant growth" thing has something to do with the pseudo-deity present in this planet, with the AI being unable to identify what this is. Of course, it could just be a writer's plot to kill off the MC to finish off the manga, but that seems too dumb? They could simply put the manga on hiatus until the WN/LN gets back on track, like many other manga adaptations from WN/LN have done before.
