@speedysam0 I think you're right. Iris wouldn't just fire Dean - it would be "for his benefit", especially in context of their cordial relationship/trust. And I can't see how relieving him from his duties would be for his benefit unless she knew Dean has a "more important duty" - aka as a prince - that he should be tending to over his "job" from her.

Or she just doesn't want him to be her employee any more, because she'd rather start a different sort of relationship.

@seekermoc PurpleBomber is talking about Dean's comment. He said he had a little brother (i.e. the stupid prince) and a little sister (i.e. a princess, since our boy's secretly the first prince).

From the sounds of it, the young princess is an ally, or at least cordial.

Man, I hope she figured out he's the first Prince.

There's a ton a reasons why she would think firing him would be better for him...
It could be that she wants to help him get closer to his family, that she thinks that his normal duties are hard enough without her work pilling onto it or even that she found out that she has feelings for him and that it complicates things...
But I hope she just got some more clues during their conversation as to who he really is.

She's pretty intelligent, albeit sometimes a bit naïve... so she might have deduced that, I think.
