So then...she was a ghost, and just didn’t realize it herself? That was the only confusing part. Sometimes she acted like she knew she was a spirit/ghost, and other times she acted like she was (or thought she was ) human. I had the same issue with Her Special Seat, not knowing if she was just disfigured or an actual ghost/monster girl.

Either way, I oddly find the cute Kuchi-san an enjoyable character and would not be against more manga with her in it (also wouldn’t mind seeing a cute Hachishakusama, get her own manga). But just like Her Special Seat, it just seemed too short and that both characters and their relationship (how they first met and how he fell in love with her, for example) could have been explored more...

@ElizLestrad Who knows what she is - depending on the author's worldbuilding she could be a genuine youkai but judging from how she disappeared she's a thoughtform/tulpa - basically something that was created by the thoughts of people. Pretty sure the gods in Noragami are like that - once they're forgotten they're wiped from existence but so long as they're remembered they are basically immortal.
