Honestly it's a good idea, I even goes as far as saying that it might need more exposition because this arc gets wayyyy too complex now with a lot of new characters, plot, and family tree and two "maps" (inside the emperor castle and the fox village)

The strawpoll link returned 404 error for me but anyways, here my vote for the relationship tree / refresher. That's really cool of you guys to offer to do, and really useful when coming back after month and having to reread a couple of chapters just to refresh who's who

Yeah, I completely forgot about the fact that putting it in the front kinda spoils character appearances for the chapter when doing this last night.

Then again, just because they're on the chart doesn't mean they're going to appear in the chapter.
I think it's enough to consider whether their appearance is a surprise or not. I mean, if you just have Maomao and Jinshi because at one point they have an random interaction (even if one of them only appears in that scene), it doesn't say much, but if the chapter focuses on Maomao in a difficult situation and Jinshi shows up to save her as his first appearance in the chapter, then it's a spoiler.

Thank you for translating these chapters!

The introduction relation tree is a very good idea!

I love mao mao being back to her "crazy poison girl" aspect! It is part of the fun of this manga. W E - N E E D - P O I S O N - G R I N

why did they even kidnap her? they doomed themselves and their village by doing it, what is there to gain? sure Mao Mao is smart and loves experimenting but is that really worth the price they will all have to pay?

Because Maomao has discovered Sui Rei.
If the authorities capture her, it's possible that they can trace back to the Shi clan and unravel their planned rebellion, so they kidnap Maomao to buy some time -- though it didn't go too well either because the old lady who was their accomplice quickly got found out by Jinshi. Also it should be noted that the two sisters aren't really into their clan's scheme, but it's too late to overturn the situation so they're looking for another way out.

It's been a while since we saw MaoMao going batshit crazy for deadly poisons.
It feels good to see it

kusuriya no hitorigoto is one of the series that so desperately needs one of those "the story so far..." pages that so many shojo manga tend to have but it doesn't for some reason

@Official229 , as far as I recall relationship charts are used to summarise a certain amount of characters of importance (from strictly main characters to quite a large cast) and may be updated as the story progresses or be part of a recap with or without a description of the characters (everything summarised of course). Making a relationship chart of only featured characters of every single chapter is something I only see on volumes that are either one-shot anthologies, compilations and stories that are clearly differentiated every chapter: either because they focus on a few characters just to completely switch in the following one or because there are lapses of time (example: Genji Monogatari).
If the charts are remainders of the entire series I don't mind where they're put, they normally appear at the beginning both in magazines and volumes and at the end in web published versions.

Shisui taking something that would induce abortions is a horrifying detail that's easy to miss.
Plenty of everyday edibles can induce abortions, most of which are reasonably pregnancy safe at low doses, some of which aren't (and that's all I'm going to say lest some forced birthers decide to outlaw those as well :notlikethis:)
