I think what they are saying is that Ji Youyan wrote a song probably based on her feelings for/relationship with Jing Xiu and sold it to Guo Wen. Guo Wen performed it and it became a big hit. Now I want a serenade to A'Xiu!

there was an audio drama of the web novel and Ji Youyan's VA did a rendition of a song Ji dedicated to Jing Xiu. it is really sweet. highly recommend listening to it
