Mangadex to purge titles for legal reasons

The UK actually has convicted several people for anime images, such as Robul Hoque.

Although I strongly disagree with the UK's law, it is their law, and they do enforce it.

MangaDex made a very serious mistake by choosing to be headquartered in the UK.

If they think this is a joke, they are in for a very big surprise.
Netherlands seem way better as a host country, given that they entirely reject DMCA claims and are unlikely to change that

We have better shit to do than to argue on the forums. Manga purges always start with the easy targets then expand. Always fuckin happens when pirate sites try to go legit.
So yeah, we came out of the woodwork to protest this shit decision and being called pedos by the admin.
Edit: Goddamn, dude you have 7k post, step away for a bit.
Yeah and we don't take clearly liable slander lightly either.

And as a wise man once said...

I swear I get to say this on every platform:

BEHOLD THE UK, DOING EVERYTHING THEY CAN TO PROTECT CHILDREN, EXCEPT PROTECT CHILDREN.
What you mean it not like a UK government funded program hid details of a popular bbc host raping 400+ kids at a children hospital and kept sending him to more hospitals after they found out.

I agree with the frustration about how this was handled, but the only reason anyone is on this site is because they decided to be here. Everyone on this thread or on this site is free to go somewhere else with no consequences at all.
"It's not for you, if you don't like it, don't buy it! Go away!"
"Wait, hold on, where did everybody go?! Why are we going bankrupt?!"

What a bold strategy that has never been done before, let's see how it works out.

Nope actually its protected under the First Amendment and mods trying to justify their shitty actions by throwing uk law at us is laughable because in reality it will always get thrown out 100% of the time, fuck yo uk laws.
So this shows a pretty basic level ignorance of how the court system in the US actually works. Taking a case to court is fucking EXPENSIVE. Even if the material SHOULD be protected by 1st Amendment, proving that the law infringes on it wouldn't be cheap. Lawyers cost money.

Telling others they are pedophiles is fine but telling you to kill yourself is a problem?
Neither reaction is fine (from both sides), one side for not thinking properly what (and how) to reply to questions related to an ongoing issue, and the other side also for just escalating the argument into a fight.

Weird how you only reply to one side, did not reply anything when he posted his original post.

The fact he is still admin after his actions and what he said, tells us all we need to know.
