What if the justification is, and hear me out this is going to sound really crazy... they start Dating and progress past the kissing stage WITHOUT magically Time Skipping past all the good parts. Crazy concept I know, it's done so rarely, but it's a really simple way to introduce lewd elements back in a Romance Manga and still not go full Hentai.

By simply by showing the romance past the first kiss and how most humans experience it, i think. I wouldn't know myself

This is the friend introduced in chapter 21. Either she just refers to her as her “big sister”, or she actually has a big sister, and they just skipped over introducing her and showing any interactions between them. This seems to be a new day, her clothes are different from last chapter.
