You know i understand hatred between the 2 race is understandable..

But does the guy ever understand the big picture, does he want a war occur again. Another bloodshed and another death all because the guy can't see the big picture. Being racist and being ignorant is 2 different thing. Being racist while still recognizing the bigger picture is great cause he knows the overall future would be better.

But being ignorant would just simply cause unnecessary bloodshed

This, it's honestly completely baffling behavior.

Even in a political marrriage you have to show a bare minimum of courtesy.

Now, I get that maybe the Hero is not political savy, which begs the question why he wasn't coached beforehand, or why he doesn't have a staff at hand to prevent him jeopardizing another war due to his stupidity. On that matter who the hell thought letting him and Miss Demon Princess live alone in a tower was a good idea?

Given by the sheer political ineptitude on display it's a miracle the Kingdom hasn't been conquered already.

TBF the hero is simply on high alert mode due to "experience with demons". Dude isn't trying to antagonize FMC, just avoid contact and whatnots. No contacts mean if something happens to her he can reject responsibility, etc...

She needs to take it a bit slower and talk to him before she can get in his pants.

Whole point of political marriage is to produce a heir that is bound by interest (irl - in form of material inheritance) of two factions and thus make it unfavorable for one faction to harm another.
To produce a heir. Failure to produce one might as well make you sacked. Literally. In high medieval divorce tradition.
So what's the conflict of this manga again?

Except for the fact that they explicitly state that she was impressive in how she "Struck fear" into their hearts. Being in a position of power that demands respect is not the same as making people fear you, and striking fear into others doesn't seem like something needed to justify her position of power, especially that display of her cracking the entire building around her.

Like literally, it was a peace agreement, that could have been seen as an act of aggression. If THAT is considered a normal "Display of her position" as a demon, that just pushes forward the narrative that the demons are an intrinsically war loving race that desires to dominate over those they consider beneath them.
This is canonically a different culture, though. Who knows what they consider an act of aggression, you know? In their culture making people fear you could literally be seen as point of obligatory politeness. Maybe it isn't, but maybe it is. Neither of us know, so it's ridiculous to act like we do. I'm merely stating a possibility that you seem to be unfairly discounting due to the fact that you seem to be unwilling to conceptualize a fictional foreign culture.

Like, you say that "striking fear into others doesn't seem like something needed to justify her position of power," but you know what else doesn't make sense to justify positions of power? Wearing ironed suits. Having short hair. Speaking in a well-regarded sociolect. Our own culture has a bunch of random nonsensical things that indicate politeness and convey authority; what's so odd about a fictional culture having different odd things that convey authority?

To a certain extent, I'd say that "making people beneath you fear you" makes more sense as a indication of authority than some of the nonsense we've got in the US or Japan or the UK or France or wherever. Does them saying "y'all" really make sense as a reason to think poorly of someone?

We're talking about a fantasy race that values power and wants to prove it. I feel like that's literally enough justification for a VAST amount of fantasy races that already exist in media.
Most real life cultures value power and strength, almost certainly including the one you yourself are a part of. (Unless you're going to tell me that your culture doesn't see strong men as superior to weak ones?) And yet most real life nations do not go to war over such trivial reasons as to "prove [their] strength." Because that's just a stupid reason to go to war! You don't get anything out of it, and instead just end up losing resources, man-power, political standing, territory, &c. &c. &c. There are plenty of reasons that nations go to war; "We're awesome!" is not one.

Maybe other fantasy worlds don't really care about this and do have war-mongering races that go to war for no reason other than that they feel like it. But you have to understand that you're reading a manga about a demon princess that has fallen in love with the human hero and is upset that he thinks poorly of her. Literally where do you think this is going to go other than "I've misunderstood you, my love, let us have fifty million half-demon babies!"?

So regardless of what either of us thinks about the reasonability of the demons not actually being evil, the point's almost certainly moot, anyway.

It really depends on how inherently evil the demons' actions were during the war.
For example, it wouldn't be THAT surprising if a french and german couple was made after WW1. The same can't be said for WW2.
Yes but the genocide of French people was limited to a small zone. For Slavic people, especially Poles and Russians... And also no guarantee the demons haven't changed ways, as even as halfassed denazification was in our world, there was some level of change.

I don’t really see how she gets past this. Especially because she herself was a member of the demon king’s army and must have killed a lot of humans. She’s delusional.
However the same could be said for the hero hes killed crap loads of demons himself

That’s true, but he has no motivation to get past it. He’s not interested in getting closer to the demon princess in the first place.

Hero really wants the war to restart and for his friends to die pointlessly again. This was a marriage to establish peace between kingdoms, it must be treated sincerely for the peace to last. That means they can't let the Princess die in their territory or it's war, unless they can provide really clear evidence that it was the result of an external force.

They must treat the Princess sincerely at the very least by their own human standards or it'll drum up dissatisfaction on the demon's side. There's wiggle room here due to the differences in culture. That means they can't breach demon taboos, but some disrespect by demon standards can be tolerated if it's respectful by human standards. They have not been doing that at all or even attempting to do so at any point so far.

They must produce an heir. This ties the interests of the two kingdoms together and serves as a symbol of unity. There are some caveats to this. If the demon kingdom doesn't follow hereditary succession then the heir wouldn't have succession rights but would be leveraging the prestige of the princess. There's some wiggle room here too. If the hero is impotent or the Princess barren, a lack of an heir might not be as much as a problem but has complications related to it. The timeline for this is dependent on racial differences. How long does demon pregnancy last and how long until signs of pregnancy start showing? What's the fertility like for humans and demons? If high fertility for demons then a short time would be expected for pregnancy. If low, then a long time would be expected. If it's the same as each other, then probably they would expect an heir within 5 to 10 years. For example take a marriage between an elf and a human. Elves are depicted as having long lives and low fertility. A political marriage between elf and human might not be expected to produce an heir at all because humans have a much shorter lifespan so a normal time for an elf to become pregnant/impregnate might exceed the partner's lifespan.

The heir presents its own issues too though. If the heir turns out weak or talentless then the meaning totally transforms. It becomes they're weak because of their human half. The humans have defiled and disgraced the Princess with their weakness. This is excluding the idea that they might already have preestablished discrimination against half-demons.

The story has not yet outlined how the demons acted in general nor the extent in which the committed attrocities. For instance, we don't know why the invaded nor if the slaughtering of non-combatants were issued commands.

On the leadership point, I don't think it would be TOO surprising if two enemy leaders fell in love and married. It just depends on the extent in which violent acts were committed.
If the information the story provided is true, it seems almost certain that the Demons started the war with a border dispute escalating out of control. I think that’s all that can be said with a degree of certainty (Plus from what Schmerz said in the final panels, it seems likely that his village was all but wiped out by demons. Whether his village was the one from the border dispute or elsewhere, seems that civilians didn’t get much of a break)
