Well, she at least got it now, so she can move on from it in a while.
No need for sympathy.

The fuck? Why does it feel like after this chapter we won't really get to see her anymore? It's been forever since we've got a glimpse of her character ... but... to completely cut her off... man.... I like her character D:

I like they are trying to redeem her a little. People should look at her as in real life, we just know so much of person without being in their shoes. The fact that she was a terrible person doesn't change but we know her reason for being that way with Rei, she was jealous with the fact that a no one like Rei invaded her personal space in her house and was getting closer to her dad meanwhile she was getting further from him. If she ever appears again we will not need to worry of her abusing Rei, but I think that she feels so much guilt that she won't try to ever get closer to him just because of the thought that she might be bothering/butting in his life.

Just like in real life, we can unknowingly hurt people and assume too much about others

it's the duality of her character that makes her interesting. She was indeed placed in a shitty situation, where her dad neglected her and she never received the attention and love necessary for a healthy growth as a young woman. And so obviously, as a child she would shift the blame entirely on the person who is receiving all her father's attention. And also, of course she would seek out a more mature and older figure due to having her daddy issues so to speak.

But, we cannot deny that it was still shitty of her to continue to bully and abuse Kiriyama like she did into adulthood and she's completely in the wrong and it can't be justified. And we cannot deny that she's vying for the attention of a married man who has a wife in coma who will pass away eventually, trying to take advantage of the situation to get what she wants from him.

We understand her pain and background of why she is the way she is, but still acknowledge that it doesn't make her actions excusable. Just more understandable. Luckily, she understands that the things did and are doing are wrong. I wonder how the author will continue her arc and character development, hope it doesn't stop here.

Detest her to the very last. Good of her to grow up enough to realise she was bad, but she went too far and the only perk to me is how she claims she won't try to see Rei again. Go start over being a nice person somewhere else...

Ohh poor gir... Nope.

- This chapter was only made for people who also have a smaller degree of sociopathy automaticaly forgive her.

- Sorry, but when you receive an orphan in your family, and an orphan who legit is a good kid, and your father even if not perfect, is a decent person, reasonable and far from Kawamoto's sisters dad, SORRY, but if you still turn the live if the orphan a hell, you are a ill person.

I know this kind of people, and all this remorse is selfish (she is just thinking in herself, in how she deserves to be alone, how she is unlucky, what she can think about Rei, she she she), a kind of feeling that vanishes as soon as it came, to give place to the old mean personality.

Are you going to desappear from the story? THANKS, and goodbye.

Well I for one do feel sorry for her, although she did do terrible things. That doesn't mean she can't grow and change though, doesn't mean she can't try and make up for it. After all, those things (minus the ongoing affair with Gotou) were done while she was still a child, and a child in the middle of a pretty terrible family situation

Yeah, the few people directly below ThrystaVindr and at the veeeery bottom of the comments section are misogynists at best and sociopaths at worst (especially JakkRo, who is psychologically projecting onto other people like mad by saying that only sociopaths would empathize with and forgive Kyouko, which is the literal opposite of what a sociopath does). Hopefully they, like Kyouko, can eventually grow up and gain a new perspective through hard life experience.
