lmao has there ever been another bully in manga history who has bullying powerlevel was so high that he even bullied his own parents and made them his slaves?
I think the author might have created the strongest bully in all of manga.

You know all these wacky plot twists make sense, when you see the author's catalog and realize, this is their first time writing anything remotely dark. Their last two works before this one were wholesome, not by comparison, but by common standards.

I love it when a creative person decides to break away from their traditional methods and do something completely different.

Good luck with that. Okaya is the type of antagonist who would make a person suffer in the worst type of way if they tried something like that. I wouldn't be surprised if he'd go after people related to his victim just for the chuckles
Brother, he is only able to hurt them because they tolerate his presence. Any normal parent would send him to an orphanage, or even juvvie, with a nice shiny marker saying "psychopath" slapped on his uniform. Parental love is one thing, but there are limits. Very strict ones. His dad was on the way there, it's his mom that's unrealistic and crazy

People seem to forget that the Main Bully wants to be a psychiatrist like his dad.

They also forget that his “friends” became friends through blackmail. Even MuscleBully saw how he blackmails people to suicide with no care; so him doing that to his parents isn’t out the realm of possibility.
Dude, there is NOTHING a child can do to harm his adult parents. Blackmail? Presented by a child, noone will believe his word over his parents. Evidence? Unless he's psychic, he can't move that evidence into place where it can be found without his parents knowing and (preemptively) whooping his ass or better - sending him to juvie or a psychiatric ward for studying. He does not act like a normal child would - too composed, too nice (the exterior anyway). Children and teenagers are whiny jerks, if your child isn't like that, there's something wrong with him.
This is only available through extreme enabling and fanatic love, and there's enough studies or statistical cases saying that parents are more than willing to kick their own child's behind to "set them straight".
The unrealistic part isn't that he wouldn't care to do it - that's psychopathy in a nutshell, that's real. It's the part of him being physically capable of pulling it off. As a child you're dependent on your parents' mercy (unless you're an orphan, in which case you're dependent on mercy of the orphanage caretakers/the streets). They say "nay", your only response is "nay", unless you want to be beat or locked up in your room without food. And japanese parents are known for considering slapping their children for speaking out of turn completely normal, I wouldn't be surprised if beating kids is justified in their case with "look what you made me do".
Like in the scene we saw - what exactly is stopping his parents from overpowering him by jumping him, two at a time? What's the best he can do with that skewer - poke out an eye, that's if he's lucky. Great, we get an assault charge by a child, and not only both parents are there to testify against a child, but he's also of age legal enough to go to juvie. This scenario would've occurred hundreds of times by this point, the fact ONE of his parents is so obsessed with him is already going over the realism plank, if author made both of them insane it'd be...... too insane.

Sure you'd be right if this was a more realistic manga. However, it isn't and never was. It's baffling to me that people didn't suspect Okaya was controlling his parents solely based on all of the horrid stuff he was able to get away with up until now. Hell, its funny cause the author hinted at Okaya's messed up relationship with his mom back in ch's 2 and 13.

I can only assume that the author wants to lengthen the story further by incorporating these new arcs. I can tell that the author is trying to create some of the following add-ons to the story:
  • Religious comparitive symbolisms between Okaya+parents and Maria
  • Contrasts in livelihoods between Okaya's parents and Kiritaka's parents
  • Maria vs her husband with their morals on the line
  • Maria learning to care for Yuda like he's her new Kiritaka, giving her a "second chance" of being a mother again
  • Maria vs Okaya's mother
After all, if the story stuck with its main theme of Maria punishing the main bullies in a Christian John Kramer style and that's it, this manga series would certainly be short.

However, there's nothing wrong with a series being short. Adding too much to it over time is bound to potentially ruin the story. It's like decorating a cake. The main plot is the cake, the additional stuff is the frosting/sprinkles, and too much add-ons is just going to ruin the cake via overloaded sugar and colors. Personally, I'm fine with Okaya trying to figure out who's after him in a mastermind vs mastermind kind of scenario, and I don't mind the use of religious symbolisms (although the story has already been doing that earlier).

But unfortunately, with the introduction of these past two chapters, I can tell the author is starting to derail the story off of its original plotline. Relevant, yes, but it's like setting the GPS into taking a long detour that takes you 1 hour to get to your destination when you could've taken the main route lasting 15 minutes. Part of me feels that the author got a bit too cocky with how this series was positively received and then wanted to keep the story alive for as long as possible.

Couldn’t this also be said about the teacher he blackmailed as a kid. The teacher could have beaten him up and took the phone. The teacher was seen by everyone as someone they liked and a really good and exemplary teacher that was the only one that could handle the problem kid. Yet he had his naked on his knees getting attacked.

“He does not act like a normal child would - too composed, too nice (the exterior anyway). Children and teenagers are whiny jerks, if your child isn't like that, there's something wrong with him.”

Did you forget that he is from a wealthy family (on his mom’s side at least) that owns multiple companies. So him acting composed IS normal.

“It's the part of him being physically capable of pulling it off”

So far we have not seen the Main Bully get his hands dirty and attack his victims outside of his Mom with a skewer into the chest(ALONE), when everyone’s gone try to have Maria’s son eat a cockroach(ALONE), stabbed the dad (ALONE) and have his foot on Maria’s son’s head. He always had others do the physical attacks. I mean he even used the words ally when explaining “friends” meaning.

“As a child you're dependent on your parents' mercy (unless you're an orphan, in which case you're dependent on mercy of the orphanage caretakers/the streets). They say "nay", your only response is "nay", unless you want to be beat or locked up in your room without food.”

Well for one, we don’t know how he was raised. So somewhere between when he was born and Elementary Grade 5, he became adept at blackmailing people into doing what he wanted and looking down at others. Two, we have been shown so far that he dislikes and sees others as enemies when they defy him (based off how he explains Maria’s son in Ch28) and we also see how highly he sees himself in this recent chapter.

“What's the best he can do with that skewer - poke out an eye, that's if he's lucky. Great, we get an assault charge by a child, and not only both parents are there to testify against a child, but he's also of age legal enough to go to juvie.”

That will be a bad look on the mom with her being on the police force AND a wealthy family. She would have been raised to keep things quiet or under wraps to not ruin the family. Them not jumping them goes into the “I want to be a psychologist” part that Main Bully said. We don’t know how much dirt he has on his parents ESPECIALLY the mom with her past of possibly being a bully and how far that went. Main Bully could have used the dirt and the “scars of the heart that aren’t visible” to have control the parents. Heck he probably had the mom cover up other crimes of his which pushed her to that breaking point.

Also they could have (most likely) gotten those scars from when they tried to retaliate, defy, or whatever word you want to use. Then they saw how far MainBully is willing to go and with the image of the parents being involved with the police and the bad look they would get with kids acting this way AND the mom being from a wealthy family and them wanting to keep it quiet for the family’s companies sake, and the mom’s guilt over having him be raised and turned out this way makes sense that she is ALL in and the husband isn’t.

Oh boy, time for that creepy principle to make a return.
Maybe now that Maria has a little hacker servant he could dig up some dirt on him and get him replaced with possibly more power
I’m not the only one who just wants him out of the picture by this point right?

Why in the fuck are the parents obeying him if he was raised by a latino mother you know for sure he will get his ass wopped, hell it would have been believable if one of the parents was nuts or a psycho and the kid grown with the same mentality... but no the author decided to go to take the weird way

Just how did he get his parents under his control? Might explain his psychological profile chess game 1 or 2 chapters ago.

How is his mom going with that pain without flinching?

All those burn marks…how did he do that and for what reasoning?

Guess the author is further paralleling Maria and Bully. Sleeping in nude, using others close to them for their purpose. Though Maria just started with Tech Newb while Bully has been using highly connected parents. Also Maria started clothed sleeping which may throw her off and make a mistake later on. With Bully catching her or nearly catching her leading to extremely suspicious/careful around her.

Side Note: Maria was bullied by Bully’s Mom in school PLUS being from a rich family….Bully turning out this way isn’t surprising to me.
Lmao, imagine if Maria's downfall is due to lack of nudity while sleeping

Absolutely hilarious

Just... suspend your disbelief, and don't think about it, just roll with it

But at least make it easier for me to buy into this bull shit come on author!
I am not that big of a fan for revenge stories, especially that I mostly go for trash isekais and there its nearly never fulfilled. So sometimes I do read things like this manga, and as far as it was fine early on, when they started going full fantasy land with this villain wannabe I lost interest. Ima wait for all chapters to skim read it.

The first few pages of this chapter... I'm not going to drop it yet but I'm putting it on hold for several months.

It feels like:
