What a strange chapter. So I sorta had this theory that the father was an unfortunate victim roped into a fucked up family, and it looks like I was right. The mother is completely indifferent to the abuse done to her while the dad actually reacts like a normal person would. Also noticed that Okaya's whole fixation on cockroaches was brought up again...

Cockroaches are stubborn insects. I can't help but wonder if part of his Kiritaka obsession stems from the stubbornness aspect similar to a cockroach. Does he relate to cockroaches in some strange way, hence the odd pages of him floating in an enclosure?

"Oh no, the fictional story has unrealistic characters...." Anyways, Okaya even abusing his parents is something I expected from the get go. No one raises a guy like him unless they're just as bad or complete wimps.

Edit: I'm surprised that not only are people are negatively reacting to my comment, but people are actually surprised that Okaya is this cartoonishly evil. If you didn't pick up on that in ch 1 idk what to tell you.

God, how many 20-roll can he roll for his charisma?
He rolled 20 for his parents.
He rolled 20 for his school.
He rolled 20 for the police.
What's next? He rolled 20 for the government as well?
Maybe even rolled 20 for the entire world???
I'll not be surprised there. This is already ridiculous. Just kill Okaya already

EDIT: Kill also that fatso Ajiki, I forgot

this is what will happened when u raise ur child in modern american way.
"even though he's a devil, he's still our son" even Hellboy grandpa did better than these both stupid parents.
i like revenge story, especially Dishonored series where brits politic conflict always intriguing. in this case psycho pass in comparison, where main antagonist is part of government intern.
but if the main antagonist background just like this. this is just too stupid, what the fuck is writer actually thinking about? main antagonist just a spoiled devious child who had no disciplinary from his parents? no actual goal in his crime?
is this story only telling us about stupid parents? with Maria as its center to fix their loose screw?
Kougami and Maria both had their conviction and reason about their revenge, that's ok.
while makishima is a Maniac who can deceive the judgement system, while he himself also a maniac looking for a burning love, no parents mentioned. but this kid.. dammn

I'll eject and cut ties with something like that in our family. And if that will make me bad? I'll just drag them to hell

Good luck with that. Okaya is the type of antagonist who would make a person suffer in the worst type of way if they tried something like that. I wouldn't be surprised if he'd go after people related to his victim just for the chuckles

Damn. I really hoped her motivation was that her son bullying other kid to death would look bad on her resume.
