Well he is a sociopath and probably didn't see them as ppl, although while stories like these try to save the ringleader/boss for 'last', i wonder how many of these stories would've taken someone like him out at the start while the 'underlings' scramble and panic

I mean most yakuza don't exactly look 'subtle', his parents are still cops too so even if they weren't in the same 'group' i'd imagine they would've come across the name associated, even maria found out too , even if a school nurse has access to files i doubt many would say "yakuza family' on a students name versus finding out that they donate a suspicious amount of money even for a rich kid family lol
