I disagree about him lacking commitment - he likes the childhood friend, and is actively trying to get closer to her. He deliberately tried to tank dog girl's feelings for him for that very reason. I'd say that's pretty committed.

Also, why should he get with Sayuki just because he knows she likes him? Has there been any indication that the feeling is mutual? I don't understand the mentality some people have where you have to get with somebody just because you can - if you know you don't feel the same way they do, then it's just disrespectful in my opinion.

agreed, the end showed itself from the start. we will just read how they reach to that point. im 100% sure there will be no harem no love triangle (multiple girls will love him but he wont waver same as incident with the dog girl, mc and fmc will be together happy ever after).

I don't think that's quite fair (yet).

Their affection bars are very different. Getting freakier is one thing, but she clearly still has a full bar, and it bloomed from flowers into something weird he can't interpret. Her little sister had flowers at the maxed bar too.

The dog girl developed a second bar when it went over as well. There's no consistent rule or theme, and no reason to think Marika's is that way because it's too high rather than it being too low because the bar looks gross and scary.
