No no no, you SHOULD make someone aware of their mana consumption. Do you think that there won't be a case where they are forced to go separate ways in a dungeon? What would happen if they were never getting aware of when to stop using mana?
It's nice that you teach some of the members how to survive without using mana, but the kind of thinking that mana porter should not make someone aware of the consumption is pretty dumb.

I'm pretty sure, that it is not weird if MC told that Wannnabe hero too....but like any other trash party leader, he said along the line of STFU you doesn't know anything

My personal guess is that skill originally is the sage's skill, she's the one who teaches the magic swordsman and the saintess

One of this days I'd like to hear a sage who upon getting low on mana, switches from throwing spells to throwing hands and some random monster
There's always The Power Wizard

Wow, what a fucking retard that Hero is.
Here's hoping to him dying in a fucking ditch by his lonesome.

Thanks for the TL

Mental stack is a thing and the expression refers to when you aren't separated from your logistics guy. This is stagehands making sure the actors don't have to worry about the electric bill for the spotlights, which is not an analogy used for a party that splits up while on the job. Even without being topped off, it took multiple fights for Alan to realize he was running low on mana from using his sword that often.

The only thing I go against the MC's case is that he should make them aware of their mana comsumption. Not during battle, but they should know how they relied on him and how they should adapt in case they get separated by a trap, for example.
Apparently, he did that for everyone but the Hero, they all have hairs to track him, and he had them train to fight without mana, even using off-weapons.

What I understood was that he only told them to train to fight without mana (and the hero disregarded it), not that he explained to them regularly how much mana they were using. Also, he surely didn't give the girls his hair, he probably still doesn't even know they have it :pacman:.
