This is just Water 7 arc without the fighting. There is some at the very end but that's not really the point; the point is getting the new ship and mechanics.

I promise the next arc is funnier (for me at least)
I just want to see more of the first two girls, I dont care much for the maidbot either

Shhhh, you just need to enjoy the ride. I think you are a bit too spoiled, not everything has to be like shounen with ever increasing controversial cliffhangers. This is based on light novel, there is order to things, every series has a volume dedicated to downtime, this arc is it. Manga is a visual medium, but in the novel this arc is used to flesh out the world more. Corporations and stuff, then that the Krishna is a cool ship, but it's not exactly cheat, but rather Hiro is used to practicing in game where dying is not a problem.

I give you a bone then. Elma being tight about formality? That's important for the next arc. You want fast? Read the novel then. That's the whole point of adaptation. It is good, but not fast enough? That's how they direct sales to the main product, the novel. Be grateful that the manga isn't axed, publishers often adapt only one arc then "the adventure continues in the novel" bullshit. We even have official English novel translation, what's stopping you from tapping your phone to read it? And the English version is no slouch either, they're 5 books (arcs) forward from this point in manga. Doesn't matter how you do it, but I reckon it is much more productive than whining in this thread, get answers but then whine even more without any effort from your side. Do your mom wipe your butt still? Damn, son.

"It's a hardware issue!!!!"
"No, It's a software issue!!!!"
Calm down, it's both, it's a software issue with the hardware, but it's not the ship, it's the pilot, they're not skilled enough.

Tbh he also pointed out there’s an issue with the handling, so they could always improve on that.

Yeah, but the problem was with both the weight (should be mass but anyway, hardware) and the control algorithm (software) which he, as the pilot, corrected for with skill (hardware & software), in either case they're both right.

EDIT: It could be "fixed" by lowering the mass or a better prediction algorithm but lowering the mass would change the specs and a better algorithm would be good but without a skilled pilot it still (probably) wouldn't match up to the specs.

Butthurt because one person isn't enjoying your favorite arc?

It's a discussion thread and I'm discussing my thoughts, if you don't like my thoughts you can ignore it instead of being an asshole.
Have a nice day.

No matter how skilled the pilot is or not, a system that needs him to cover for it's shortcomings in order for the craft to function as expected is unacceptable. The whole point is for this relationship to be the other way around. If the handling was sensible, then the performance would be even better with a skilled pilot, as it is some of that is being eaten up just to steer efficiently.

I agree but the point was that they were arguing whether it was the hardware or the software that was "wrong" because they couldn't get the performance to match the specs during testing, the answer is a combination of both, but any changes would change the specs which means that the problem currently was a skill issue with the pilot (to get the performance they were expecting, as demonstrated), though a rework of the hardware as well as software and better trained pilots would be better, as a well trained pilot with good instincts will always get the most out of any ship (all vehicles have some shortcomings that can be alleviated by a good pilot/driver/captain etc, no vehicle ever has been perfect).

Mig-25 moment, push the level and the plane will get to mach 3.2 while the engines shit the bed and reduce it life span to just 5min
