I still don't quite get what the whole deal with the hollow is. People seemed to know about them and treat it as some kind of demon, but mc seems rather chill with having one already from the start? Is it a demon he made a contract with (if so, when?) or an inherent part to a great mage? And is it something that can't sleep, doesn't want to work and wants to rest, but if left alone starts doing work instead of sleep? Is it going to be forcing them to play all the time every day, until it becomes a chore of babysitting it?

With the point of it being 'present' enough that others can see was being level 3.

Of hollows in general? Yes.
Of this one? Nope.

The wariness towards hollows with ability to materialize is because they follow their own desires so if you get one with evil intent taking over a mage you'd have a big threat around.
But in that chapter the butler used a special camera that will show what's the 'desire' of the hollow...and at the time it was 'I want a house~' so they quickly judged it to be a harmless one.
