You're correct about that. I could also argue that it was edited after the final vote post was put in, though, and that I specifically said "cutoff ended with that vote", meaning anything posted or changed after that vote would be void.
Regardless, the reason for changing your vote is seemingly obvious, but I won't humor it further in this thread. If you'd like to discuss semantics or explain the reasoning behind the changing of your vote, I'm more than open to talking about it in DM's.
I'll continue in this post as to what I'll do concerning AC vs. Colors.
There are a few ways I could go about the AC vs. Colors vote.
[ol]
1. Give the vote to Colors, as the votes for AC vs. Colors were, at the time of the final vote, 6 to 7 respectively. Were this any other match-up (as in, not including my own submission), I would very likely do this, as a last-minute change of a vote is obvious in its purpose. However, I'm not going to go with this option, as I admittedly cut off the voting time by ~1 hour (which in retrospect was unnecessary, as I could've just done the results when I got back home), as well as the fact that it would obviously seem biased.
2. Give the vote to AC, as the votes after the cut off and counting were 7 vs. 6. However, in any other situation as well (again, as in a match-up where I wasn't personally involved) I would certainly NOT give the vote to the song that benefited from a last-minute change.
3. Void the vote in question of the user that changed their vote after the cut off time (and possibly all votes from that user in that round). This would result in a tie, which would be broken by the tiebreaker of the tournament. It's a decent option.
4. Revote.[/ol]
The fairest thing to do in this situation would be to simply hold a revote of the match-up in question without the user that muddied the voting process in the first place. So that's what I'll do.
I don't care what the results are, I just care that the voting process is kept clean and without unnecessary semantics involved. I'll post the revote in a little while along with the next match-ups.
Yikes. I thought you were okay with a bit of bullshittery because of your shit-talk about my submissions, but I guess I was wrong. I'll excuse myself from this thread.
The revote will last ~48 hours, just like a normal voting phase. The current voting phase for Round 2 is still ongoing. This is just a revote occurring at the same time.
