It can still be understood enough because before now this friend didn't let her see this creepy side of him and there was point of them knowing each other for years. She didn't expect that this stalker would be her childhood friend next door. I say it's believable enough for her. I bet not even our goat MC suspected him to be a creep with plans to become a rapist
