She was on the border since the start, but this crosses it and then some. It really shows just how selfish and self-centered she is. She doesn't care about his comfort or what he wants at all, she only cares about herself and her own needs. Toxic as fuck.
Since chapter 1, we've been shown that Noa is a problematic girl. The kind of girl that casually drain your life force, but she didn't realize it was wrong.

True, but before she was not as openly dismissive of other people's boundaries. Here she just outright says that if her behavior makes him uncomfortable, then it's not her who needs to change her behavior, but him who needs to become comfortable. Pretty messed up stuff imo.

I think it's funny that as soon as any kind of romantic atmosphere starts to crop up, he immediately shoots that shit down

Poor Rihito, this would be nightmare. I don't know how he hasn't run a mile from her

It's hilarious to see them refer to something as "foreign anime," when so many people in the Western fandoms are anal about only calling Japanese animation "anime".

I'm comfortable with the same personal space as both of them. Or rather, personal space is a concept that I didn't know existed until rather late, and it took me quite a while to figure out what others thought of it. I have a much bigger issue if people smell bad.

"This feels like I'm dealing with a strange customer."
Well, it's not exactly wrong...

She’s literally shoving her [boobs] into rihitos’s face and she expects him to not be embarrassed??!
Yes. Is that unreasonable?

I am still not sure if the author is pro-extroverts or pro-introverts.
Pro introvert-extrovert relationships.

This character has never been shy about voicing what he thinks. If he really wanted to get rid of her he would and quite easily.
I don't think you're responding to the post you're quoting. You're talking about his acceptance of her; the post you're quoting is talking about how she's behaving. It's not the same.

Noa-senpai is officially friendzoned
Literally. I was thinking the same. But they are supposed to be friends at this point, so that's how it should be.

I am responding to the right post. Dude is making it seem like Noa is abusing and holding him captive to sonething he doesnt want.

While it is true he is uncomfortable, it's nothing to the point of being abusive specially when considering Rihito has been shown to be fully capable and willing of voicing his thoughts on a situation. Meaning before it even got close to being abusive Rihito would put a stop to it by either cutting her off or correcting her behavior. As was shown in this chapter after she teased him a little too much.

There's also the fact that this is a lighthearted rom COM manga. If its silly and can be played for laughs (like Noa's entire character premise) it most likely is just exaggerated for comedic effect

Lmao, but don't forget he wasn't uncomfortable when she moved to sit next to him... up until she went from .3 to zero with that cornering move.

STILL! Noa has breached into the outer lover zone and is working her way past the .3 meter line! :win:

As if one needed any more proof that she's a woman. LOL

Yall make her sound like some malicious entity

Can't take this in a vacuum either, remember that Noa has spent hundreds of dollars on him because "I thought it would make you happy". She obviously has a few screws loose, that's literally the core premise of this manga. Key point with her is the lack of any malice or ill intent and her genuinely wanting to be good friends to each other.

At worst it's two people's idea of what personal space should be clashing. Type of stuff that happens in any normal relationship, the type of stuff that gets talked through (as happens in this chapter) and compromises found.

There has never been anything Rihito outright hated and couldn't put a stop to. Even then at the end its just a silly gag but the more serious compromise shown is her sitting next to him but not leaning into him. She obviously learned that leaning in and clinging too much means him cutting ties.

And don't forget the comedy tag, it's not meant to be taken so damn seriously! She's just being a lonely crybaby as usual

You're conflating, "she's abusive," which she is, and "he doesn't want that," which he has shown ambiguous reactions to.

Her behaviour is absolutely abusive. She's to a large degree incapable of considering his feelings and is mostly only concerned about what she feels herself. That he accepts that behaviour doesn't make it less abusive. There are tons of people who accepts being in abusive relationships for one reason or another, but that doesn't make them less abusive.

There's also the fact that this is a lighthearted rom COM manga. If its silly and can be played for laughs (like Noa's entire character premise) it most likely is just exaggerated for comedic effect
That's irrelevant when it comes to looking at it from a more objective or analysing point of view. Something can be funny and offensive, and pointing out the latter doesn't necessarily negate the former. You can absolutely discuss serious stuff in a comedy, even if it's meant for jokes. And that's not taking into account that some people may not find it funny because it's too offensive.

Yall make her sound like some malicious entity
No, that's you reading what you want to argue against. She's not malicious. She's ignorant. And possibly on the sociopathic spectrum.

She obviously has a few screws loose, that's literally the core premise of this manga.
So why can't people discuss it? Why are people not allowed to discuss an aspect of the manga they find disturbing?

At worst it's two people's idea of what personal space should be clashing.
People are talking about what this kind of behaviour looks like in real life, not what the worst that could happen in a comedy manga is. With that in mind, "at worst," is much worse than that.

Type of stuff that happens in any normal relationship, the type of stuff that gets talked through (as happens in this chapter) and compromises found.
Type, yes, amplitude, no.

Edit: Oh, just arguing in bad faith. Fuck that noise.

Maybe she should leave him alone. Not like he has anything interesting about him anyway. This dynamic is not taking the manga anywhere :wtf:
