Yeah no, don't like the idea of the medusa power being able to petrify people, no way the government would allow such person to walk freely, much less go to school. And the "solution" being just to wear glasses, it's not like if half of the vision is not covered by the lens or if the glasses could fall off in an accident. The author should have come up with a less lethal power for her, like paralyzing or something like that.
We've already seen that Senga can't get blood from the govt easily because he has his seduction power so the government says he should be able to hypnotize women into giving him their blood and therefore they don't need to give him blood because he can just brainwash them (chapter 14 for anyone playing along, I do keep a bible of all this stuff!).

So just accept that this government is hugely irresponsible, but nothing really bad ever happens in Tsumiki's world (except hundreds of years ago) so it's okay.

If glasses work, Why doesn't she just put a sheet of glass infront of her mirror?
They made it clear in chapter 9 that her glasses are made of really expensive special material (no more details given). Regular glass won't do it.

I went back and reread it and I didn't see anything about them being really expensive just "specal" and heck just having a band insted of prongs to rest on the ears is already special vs regular glasses.

In this latest chapter it's just that "something is in the way" even a 100% transparent thing

:thonk: so what, she doesn't get petrified by her own reflection because of the invisible man filter?
:questionblob:how does that work?
same concept behind why her glasses work. she isn't making direct eye contact she is seeing through a filter. just like you can see through glass but the glass is still very much tangable so too is the invisible man tagable but translucent so it works the same way

fictional world my guy. its governments response doesn't have to be a hostile one like our own. it can be as idealistic as it wants if you didn't notice in previous chapter where the crow stole her glasses she had a string tied to both ends of the glasses so they won't just accidentally fall off they need to be taken off manually. also notice how proactive she is in covering her eyes when they were off and other students around even going so far as to loudly warn them to stay away because she didn't have her glasses on. and if that is not enough for you well i learned that if you want to enjoy stories you got to learn to look past minor inconsistencies some of the greatest stories have plot holes and inconsistencies. so just don't take it so seriously.

Medusa is a good waifu. In addition to the standard cutie you get snek boops, snek kisses and smol snek accessories

I bet that since invisible guy is part of drama club now, author will use that opportunity to give him actual face for a chapter with makeup by making him part of a performance as an emergency replacement for one of the actors

I love the series obviously but I think the consistency is often a little loose. We know regular glass doesn't block it (as per ch9 they're very special glass) though maybe if you could get contacts made out of that material it should work? And we know it still works after bouncing off mirrors. So all that about 'with naked eyes' doesn't make sense because even if he's safe (I can buy he has no naked eyes to see), she's not because his head is even more transparent than glass.

So let's just say that science in this world works to select for the most feels. Conservation of Dawwwww. Whatever gets us Kitou x Hebizono is the correct
he didn't even have the head back in chapter 18, when he used paper to express emotions it was wrapped around where his neck would be

He's wearing his shirt over his head so people know where to look. Check again page 14-17 of this chapter, you see him pull the shirt off his head and the collar sits normally around his neck.
