I think he knows she loves him and he most likely also loves her, but because of social status of him being a butler he is unable to show he reciprocates to her. So, instead, he will dedicate his life to serving her as her butler so he can always be with her. I also think someone in the family (most likely her father) told him to keep his social status in mind and never approach her in a romantic way.

That would track for this kind of story lol.

judging by page 22/23 he most likely is kinda aware but rejects the notion of it due to status differences
As in, he is aware of her feelings but falling for the set-up is kinda
:bleh:

Anyways, I swear to God is we're gonna have another dense mf as the MC Im losing it.

in page 22, it's almost like he's mocking her that because she's so kind, she would've fallen in love with anyone. or, that she's so kind that she'd love anyone (doesn't need to be him).

anyone have a raw of page 23? something about these lines feels off. "So don't misunderstand"... who is he talking to? Directed towards himself or to her? I think there's a distinction that's a bit too important to overlook. If directed to himself, 'to not misunderstand her kindness for love' and will think of all her advances as kindness and not love. If directed at her, 'to not misunderstand her own kindness as love' believing her to be mistaken in her feelings. Piggybacking off of page 22, he must still be talking to her so... the latter?

"If it weren't for me, you would have easily fallen in love" can mean a few things. Is he feeling regretful that because of him, she can't have a normal romance? or is it a villain-like pride that because of him, she can't fall in love with anyone else. either way, the line implies he knows that she likes him. Really, the only thing I'm unclear on is his feelings.

i'm probably overthinking something that'll be clear in 2-3 chapters. taking into account the genre and subject matter, it should be as simple as "Lady likes commoner butler, butler likes Lady, but due to class differences, it's a 'forbidden love' that he thinks he shouldn't be doing"
