Yeah because she thought that by guilt-tripping him, he would actually love her back, because she thought that he wasn't sincere with her... but when he basically said "ok, I'll dump her" she wasn't expecting that, that's why at the end she says "It's not supposed to be like this..." Again, absurd opposite effects, the guy wants to be alone but for some reason people don't believe him... I bet that even if he is direct with her and dump her, it will only make her chase after him even more...

I think on pg 17, when he said "actually...", he ended up explaining something out of scene.
Then on pg 18, she was surprised and said "that... That sort of thing...".

So, I think she wanted him to set Kamishiro free by dating her, but she's missing some info.
Then MC explained why that's wrong, but it's not yet revealed to the reader.
Now the friend realized something, and when MC said "I'll leave Kamishiro", she said "that's not how it's supposed to go". I guess because she failed as wing woman?

This story is written as if the rough copy was "hyper incel misogynist dream story, of perfect NiceGuy™ who the girls didn't appreciate and rejected, and now the girls realize they need NiceGuy™ and throw themselves at him" and then edited to correct it, and actually give the women characters and rewrite his behavior into legitimate brain damage he sustained as a child.
