Same. This is fine for a final chapter but what the hell was the final part of the previous one. If you wanted a tragedy with Moyupu commiting murder followed by suicide, that's one thing. What happened was just... that.
Still don't regret reading and enjoyed this rollercoaster.
To me it seemed like that ending was planned, but the author wanted the murder-suicide scene to be a gut punch to the readers. So the previous chapter was structured in this abrupt way for maximum impact. The problem is that a lot of bullshit strings had to be pulled in order to make that work, and it resulted in weaker story overall.

Tbh I still liked it, but yeah it could have been better.

Haha, author made it look like an autobiography. How original (monotone).

Congratulations on finishing this translation. Whew, what a ride it was

Until we meet again

Now that I think about it, Moyupu teleporting to Indonesia just to stabs her is honestly super unbelievable.
Could it just be a Symbolic visualization? Maybe Kuroko actually dies either from her disease or OD during their escape, and everything is just Gomi's delusion? He lost everything and turned himself in.

Honestly, I'm pretty fine with the ending. It's very much in line with the author previous work. But Moyupu doing the "nothing personel kid" abit too out there even for this mangaka.

Regardless, I really enjoyed reading this and I'll be looking forward to the author future works. Thanks for translating this series.

I feel like we're missing a chapter of the fallout of last chapter occurring, its not terribly thematically relevant but it would've been more cohesive plotwise. Maybe also some scenes remembering the good times getting him through hard times in prison too. Maybe even 2 chapters we're owed here.

Like afterwards, supposing that the adaption gets unreasonably popular and he becomes a renowned mangaka; he's still tortured, still haunted. Numerous dates with famous and beautiful women, nothing ever quite there. Respect and renown from peers of something your were passionate for. Even apologies from your coworkers from the old days. Nothing even comes close to that peak from those days on the run. The dogged persistent portrait of an obsessive lost love. I'd have ended it with him lurching over the edge once again (this time as a massive success), seeing her face down in the abyss, contemplating if its time to join. Then just as an assistant opens the door to check on him we end.

Or maybe it'd be worse if we see him just move on with his life, new wife and all. Then at work he sees her once again. Either way I'm down for digestif.

i feel kind of insulted by the ending. i didnt expect her to live to the end, but i wish she didnt die in such a bizarre illogical way? she was in a totally different country! how did the husband even get there?? i was hoping mc would kill her

You know what, "good storytelling" is just a suggestion if you really think about it, actually! Like hell yeah man, have this guy who had multiple knives twist into his chest miraculously survive and then teleport across the sea to kill this woman and himself, absolute kino tbh

Bittersweet ending, though expected, I really appreciate the thought of developing the MC until the very end, giving him newfound motivation to keep going.
This manga was a wild ride; through all the weirdness, the cute and lovable moments, the hateful and sad parts as well, it's all part of the experience, just like the MC says it.

I'm glad I read this, kudos to the artist.

I dunno, I am more inclined to believe that the author aligned with editor to make an open ending sequence, or at least to provoke readers... because that scene with Moyupu can be (not surprisingly) taken very easily as Metaphor or an imagination figment e.g. past came back and got Kuroko. Also it feels like it is trying to be gentle with Kuroko since, instead of Kuroko catching up to her sins, she got "killed" by that Moyupu persona... or maybe not :)

Nevertheless, I think it is spoiled to just assume we will get every detail spelled out by the author in an off-mark comment or a newspaper saying what happened with Kuroko and making a canon interpretation of the events. I would like to believe it was a metaphor and shit just went downhill, though. We already had seen a cop spotting them, she could have perished any X ways and our protagonist already assumes she is never coming back.

What, you never watched Game of Thrones ? D&D made it clear that main characters can survive 100 stab wounds and they teleport to where the plot needs them to be xd
