idgaf about spoilers, what happened at the ending of the novel?
There are some gaps regarding the characters’ motivations. The person giving the spoilers is kind of cryptic about it, but basically, everything that’s happening was orchestrated by Hanabi’s sister. Both Kirigaya raping and sex-trafficking Hanabi, and Nanao drugging and attempting to rape the MC (she tried, but his penis didn’t get hard).

As for why Hanabi’s sister would set up these heinous acts, even against her own sister, that’s where it gets foggy. She’s messed up in the head because of trauma related to their father. The spoiler source said their father didn’t rape Hanabi’s sister, but whatever he did caused her to develop a twisted love-hate relationship with Hanabi.

As for consequences… there are basically none for anyone. Hanabi’s sister just gets a warning that if she tries any more crap like that, they’ll tell their father. Nanao is fired, and that’s it. And Kirigaya will get beaten up by the MC at some point, but that’s the maximum punishment he’ll get.

So the guy is running away from police... while saying that he's not gonna get in trouble, the MC will. So I guess in MC's head Kirigaya is running away to save Souma from trouble with the police out of the goodness of his heart???

If this was a situation where 'you will lose more than the bad guy if you to to the police' then this only works if Kirigaya actually told MC the consequences. Otherwise the logic isn't there at all. Like, "yeah it will be bad for me which is why I'm running away, but it will be worse for you so you shouldn't go to the cops. Except I won't tell you how it will be worse, and neither will the girls."

Hope this ends sooner. Next chapter they'll talk about Hanabi cosplaying as a cumdumpster, Kirigay using CP as blackmail, they will all laugh about these wacky hijinks, put the bitchboy in the slammer for forcing kids into prostitution, hug and forgive each other so that we can get back to another stupid arc - the other rape.

"Tell one word about this to the police and I leak CSAM of you to the school"

"Ok, and should I tell the police what you told me as well?"

Thank you, this comment made me look into buying the 2nd LN volume out of disbelief, which indirectly gave me an explanation for something that bothered me a couple years ago.
I remember reading the Adorable Daughter one for a while and thinking it had an interesting premise and okay writing. Then came plot twists and stuff that were increasingly implausible, stupid, and weirdly cruel, until I dropped it. Really similar experience to reading this. And now I also know the author's responsible for some real eyeroll sigh edgelord shit, that makes readers who know what they're signing up for ask, "Does it have to be so rapey, though?"

I decided not to buy it because nothing contradicted your spoiler and all the JP reviews on Bookwalker and Amazon average out to something like "This goes too far, the ending's unsatisfying, and I think the author is gross as a person."

My favorite amazon.co.jp review titles were "hito no songen sono mono o hitei suru," calling the book a literal rejection of human dignity, and one that marvels at the work's audacity of trying to pull off a tidy little "and now we're all square" ending after being so over-the-top disgusting.

Basically, it has a 3.5/5, which is the kind of score that's reserved for a light novel that runs over your dog and kills it in front of you.

For a guy who make that revenge hero who torture his former party, I expected him to do little bit of violence to the scumbag.

I didn't read this for I have dropped this manga since c8. And reading the comments how this guy didn't even get a slap in the dick, I can say that the author simply has a sick fetish to see woman suffer and get violated.

Dude! Can you spoil about the daughter one? I only started skimming things before actually read it. And the only twist I found stupid was the reason why he was betrayed. Which is really stupid and I hope it wouldn't get lower.

Author's a woman, I believe, so... yeah... :haa:

Crap, this is like a pop quiz on material I haven't studied in two years, but the "twists" I'm referring to were these secret, melodramatic reasons everyone had for betraying him that excuse their actions to some degree or another in the author's mind. I think the last one to be revealed is the healer girl, who was actually working behind the scenes the entire time to resurrect the demon lord with a totally fake personality, but also trying to not do that(?), because her evil father planted a magical bomb in her neck that would explode if she told anyone or asked for help. So THAT's why she had to betray him even if it broke her heart, because she had to solve the problem on her own at the right time or something.

Okay, no. Get the fuck outta here.

I think I finally stopped picking it back up around ch.40ish when he's putting the punished/reformed hero party back together so that they can go kick evil in the dick or something. I didn't drop it in disgust or anything, more just like "you've gone back to this same tragedy well way too many times and the direction you're escalating each time is a bad one." At a certain point it became 100% drama and 0% earnest dad and cute daughter.

I just looked and it's still going strong with regular releases. Maybe I'll take the opportunity to check it back out. It might be a little exhausting to binge, though. At least I don't remember there being any sex crimes, so it's got that goin' for it?

So I guess the manga just ends there...

Author really trying her best to sell this as some sort of suspenseful thriller, making sure everyone acting as retarded as possible to prolong it. The moment you think it can't get any worse, it does. Fascinating. Reminder that all of this happened because dude has a video of him pissing himself when he was like 8 and his ex forced into literal prostitution because of it. And i'm pretty sure nobody will be punished at the end of this.
It's pretty clear from what we saw that she also forced him to strip. So along with being mildly embarrassing it's also kind of pornographic. So she's selling herself not to stop people seeing him wetting himself, but to keep what amounts to CP of him from being spread across the net.

Remind me again, wasn't the leverage is just mc stupid childhood video where he cried? How is this gonna get him into police trouble? Am I missing something or the plot become dumb?

He's crying and ends up peeing his pants and then is told to strip out of his soiled clothes which we see he does. Hanabi (the girl being blackmailed) is the one who recorded it.
It's insane that Kirigaya is able to use the video as leverage when a simple report will get him charged for child abuse material possession.

Idk why but I think the author trying so hard to make this manga get anime adaptation, that's why this whole thing get dragged out too far even after the confession between MMC and FMC. Like literally in this arc alone we get 3 different story arc that get compact in one single arc and the story in this arc specifically feels more jumpy and all over the place. Like a few chapter ago we dealing with his ex-girlfriend best friend conflict, and then she got trapped by his co-worker, and now we getting about his ex-girlfriend get blackmail. It's so all over the place and not consistent, the author want to milk this manga but get overwhelmed by the story itself.

Would be funny if it worked. Anime got made. But they either completely dropped V2 stuff aka this whole retarded rape act, or changed it entirely making it a decent SoL romance with a bit of drama cause of initial Hanabisms. Would be funny if all anime did was bring a mass of comments on either LN and Manga - negative ones about how bad the V2/this ark is, but without new sales ;)
