you missed her personality. She was very much aware of all his good points, which is why she made sure he didn't stand out so she could keep him for herself.
True, but I’m attempting to be entertained by this train wreck and it’s a lot funnier to think she just doesn’t like how fast he is

This level of braindead writing reminds me of Domestic Girlfriend with a dude dodging a bullet from 2 meters away lol. Dude hadn't ran seriously since kindergarten, just got out of hospital recently, trained for like 2 days and somehow he easily beats the fucking ace of the track and field club after being at least 2 seconds behind? Like, what the actual fuck? Has the author never seen a single race in their life?

Guess it's back to searching something that isn't garbage.

At the very least you can rest easy in knowledge that this series isn't Gal Cleaning.

I'm really curious if the manga will have more content than the WN, cuz it was a very short. I do hope the end gets a little better and Hanabi development too.

Actually, Hanabi really loved (in a weird way) Souma, but the author just wanted to make her dumb, she didn't know what she was doing to him, she thought it was actually something normal and a way of really show love, and I find that kinda of sad, it's not that she was being bad to him for the sake of being bad, she just didn't know that those actions of her were actually hurting him at all, as he never did nor said anything about them himself, he just accepted it, when he actually talked to her about it, she was in utterly wrecked state, 'cuz they were seemly nowhere to be ever together again, they talk about how she really feels at last chapter of the WN, and she can't stop crying, like for real, not those dumb things. He tells everything she did wrong to him and how that made him feel, she says that she was sorry, Hanabi tells him how much she was afraid of him going away, and of being hated by him (stupid right?), anyway, she didn't want to lose him, and by acting the opposite she did exactly that, I find it kinda dumb, like for real? She acted like a complete different person with Kirigaya, so she knew how much of a bitch she was being with Souma. If she was just being bad for the sake of being bad, that would be more acceptable, but it was not the case, at least in th WN, if it will be changed here, I don't know, I liked the concept of childhood friends being in love and ending up together, so it's a shame what the author did to her, cuz most of the time she didn't seem to really care about him, or what she was doing to him at all, just about her, and in the last chapter we see that was not supposed to be case, somehow...? Souma is very conflicted till the end, if he hates her or not, and no, he doesn't intend in any moment to go back to her or anything like that, but in he just never knew what to really think about her real feelings, if they were or not real, but one thing for sure, it was really scuffed what the author tried to pull there, from the start to the finish line he made Hanabi just look like a manipulative ex, with a narcissist complex, but then, he just tried to make her look like she didn't event know what she was doing, or maybe these people are really like that, but for what I know, they don't apologize for real, and she does that at the end and seems to really let him go.

You know what's weird?
There are people like that, because they either have seen a relationship like it that somehow works or seen one like that and can't imagine any other way.
Had a SO that wouldn't get closer during a walk, because her sister ex made her walk behind her, which she took as normal thing and felt awkward whenever we went out when I held her hand...

Yeah I for one don't like the novels attempt at the end to redeem the ex when it just comes off as another attempted manipulation, there is noway you could look back and not realise you went too far like that. MC shouldnt even talk to her after the last 2 arcs cause of how dangerous she is and she should have been arrested along with her cronies.

She 100% at the end hasn't changed and post story probably went back to stalking him trying to claim "Whats hers" the manga is making her more love sick puppy then the extreme yandere she is in the novel so we'll see if other changes.

PS I don't for a second like this personality changed theyve given the ex, cause we have the first chapter that shows her doing horrific domestic abuse. This really jars with painting her after breakup as a clumbsy person in love doing protag things to get their attention. This change will also make later things come out of nowhere.

My friend had a gf who's mom would flirt with other guys, so her husband would get jealous which turn them on somehow, she picked up the habit and he said even dating was stressful.

Anyway, situation in this manga/LN story would fill in a "dominant female, dormant male" kind of relationship where it works because some sort of mutual acknowledgment, but in most it just doesn't.

I kind of find it cheesy like Whats next he could have been Einstein but his ex gf didnt let him.
I'm pretty sure the whole point is stuff like that basically saying "a toxic ex is terrible and holds you back from what you could really be"

damn I didn't know she was a lot more psycho in the novel. This makes the adaptation a lot worse in comparison. Not sure I will continue to read it

What, are we actually gonna see the Ex plead to get back with MC in a later arc?

If so, then she can go and make out with this wrench 🔧 so it's already done and over with.
