And that has no excuses, that's not a problem of money, that's her just going out of her way to chain an unwanted kid and making them suffer innecesarily

From conception till now, she had, for every day of that girls life, the option to just free the girl from being under her legal care, but she opted to instead just left her to die abandoned in an apartment

That's not a problem about being poor, she is just an asshole

Zyugoya has some interesting ideas for characterization and worldbuilding beyond the face-value titilation. Rare to see the "bad single mom" archetype being developed this much. Usually they're just short-term villains.

It's the opposite.
She had a really really difficult life, but it seems to me that instead of trying to be a better parent than her father, when the situation was dire she preferred to run away...I suppose because she feared to become even more depressed and end her life like her father did.
In that way I can sympathize with her, survival instinct must have kicked in; but as I said she could have been a decent parent to not let her daughter suffer as much as she suffered, afawk she decided to be like her father. Or even worse, because when he hanged himself at least she was a young woman, so a person that somewhat can take care of herself; meanwhile she left her daughter when she was just a child, basically letting her die because she couldn't do anything to survive

but the wording on being supported by a man, she seems to be a mistress/keptwoman who possibly misguided by the man.
it seems she's relatively happy to have his child during pregnancy but then things seems to takes turn for the worse after that.
