He suddenly talks about the bounty as if we should have had more context, when telling the guy to pullback. making it feel as if there is a discontinuity (and not sepaking in terms of time) between end of last chapter and start of this one. And then directly after that it feels like another discontinuity appears where after he puleld back further into the wasteland, he suddenly decided to drive back towards it all the way into the city to go on foot?

That was the plan for the Tankrantula hunt; Togami would get achievements for Akira's actions since they're both children and other hunters participating would report that the kid was good, and people not on the hunt would assume the Togami prodigy was the one they're talking about (especially since he's officially listed).

I'm talking about the reason for joining another hunt as extra help and inviting Akira (really forcing his hand by suggesting they might get hurt and be unable to pay up on the tankrantula bounty) along for that. The way that was set up, there was no aura farming for Togami. That job as extra help wasn't dangerous at all, so Togami could handle it just fine without needing Akira to inflate "what the kid did" for Drancam.

I believe it still the same reason. it still quite a record in the hunter ranking system if they join even as "support". I mean it was never in their plan for Togami to do anything grant in the first place. He just need to be capable enough to join such high ranking hunt like Katsuya does. afterall even Katsuya basically just sitting in the back in this Snail hunt.
also he need all the money he can get, remember the Tankratulla are not as profitable as he assume and he need to pay Akira something too.

I think you got Yumina and Airi confused with Reina there. Yumina hadn't been seen since that arc ended in the web novel, even though Drankam showed up again twice. So it makes no difference that she died.

Reina has maids and gets along with Togami, she was only briefly with Katsuya.

Airi never has a love interest other than Katsuya.

Yeah, I think this chapter makes it obvious now that Akira is Togami on records. Togami gets the fame, and Akira gets the money. Turret Snail is easy job for this team, and at low cost. So it's just pure profit for them.

I have a feeling next bounties wouldn't be a cake walk tho.

There is a photo of who it happened to, Reina is not one of them. I have only read the officially translated novels when it comes to the Light Novels. Here it is.

People are lazy and sloppy when writing spoilers often, or they can't keep who is who in check. People also mix up the Web Novel and Light Novel (manga is adapting LN), and one of the sites hosting the Web Novel fan translation CALLED it the Light Novel.

i think it's more suitable to be a single player Shooter-RPG rather than a gacha game

most gacha game are single player. and shooter-RPG with gacha are not that rare either. so its doable.
the world building are good enough to generate most of the enemy, the Hunter System has ranking, the slum has the economy. you can even do base building too. yeah I second a game with this world as the background would be nice.

Togami will in fact be, in the future. I forgot the details, but ln seemed to have retained the WN version.

That part of the WN are replaced with Yumina arc in the LN.
Well, not entirely but most of the story become the build up of

It's not like Akira even has a clue what to expect from this bounty for his pay, so the only way he learns of it is if Alpha crunches the numbers and tells him. Except Alpha might consider that to be pointless - she doesn't want Akira to start a fight with experienced hunters. I think Akira is more chill than that though; I mean, if he gets paid poorly, he'll probably just turn down these kinds of requests in the future, he did say he was just trying this out and the contract, at least the way it was presented orally, was pretty vague about the remuneration.

He's also constantly fanatical about getting paid properly; he just relies on Alpha a bit much to do the processing, since he was a slum kid that didn't have proper mathematical fundementals drilled into his brain as part of a formal education.

I guess at this point, I expect that Shikarabe is definitely going to be unable to pay Akira to what he considers is appropriate for his level of his contribution, so the question is - will he keep quiet about that and hope Akira doesn't look too closely at the kill count versus reward or will he be upfront and ask if he's able to do anything to make it up to him in different ways.

I think Shikarabe is gonna try to pull the wool over his eyes and Akira is gonna go Wolf Mode on him about it.

Akira has some specific situations which trigger him (theft, threatening or looking down on him), but in general, he's not really that stingy with money. He's quite generous, giving away expensive medkits, and he was willing to lower his own profits and increase the share for the slum kids group just a few chapters ago because he felt that it was fair due to them getting in more danger than he expected.

Hunters always have to deal with the fact that a job may not be profitable; even if the reward was guaranteed, if the expenses were greater than the reward than the job wasn't worth it. Akira gets that this is a team job where the bounty is split only after the expenses are taken into account and whenever someone has mentioned that the pay might be reduced or that nothing might be left over from the bounty to pay him, he's only made a troubled face which seemed to give off the feeling "Ah, am I working for free? Maybe I shouldn't have taken this job...". He never made some killer face whenever a low pay for this job was brought up; the only time he did was when Shikarabe mentioned that with the unofficial contract there's no guarantee against them stiffing him (and the implication is that if they did, they'd be looking down on him and looking to take advantage of his weakness).

So yeah, my conclusion is that while getting paid for the job done is definitely a touchy topic for Akira (since not being paid properly is the equivalent to being robbed), it's not like he doesn't understand that a job may not be profitable and I'm guessing he's not against the idea of paying a minimum to all participants of the hunt (even if it means he's not proportionally rewarded according to his contribution) because it was dangerous and some hunters did die. Also, just because he isn't paid proportionally to his contributions he's definitely still going to be paid a big sum, and way more than the others who contributed less, which should put him in a good mood.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to the next chapters and see what actually happens.
