Both of these answers are just speculation, I haven't looked at any spoilers beyond here except the one in this thread, which is unrelated (I think).

Short answer: I'm pretty sure Alpha controls what extra stuff Akira sees.
Longer answer: I think the big difference is that Alpha directly interfaced with Akira's nervous system at some level, while the other AI just kind of latched on to Katsuya. I imagine it as the difference between connecting via Wi-Fi vs plugging a cable into the computer. The direct connection is going to be much faster and more stable (probably also less energy and processing power, but IDK enough about networking to say for sure)

I am aware. I don't read the WN/LN but I read synopsis and stuff. Kinda wish the manga takes yet another different route but I guess it's just setting up to be a one-to-one adaptation of the LN.

I genuinely can't stand this series anymore because of the whole Akira Katsuya conflict. It doesn't make any sense anymore. They don't have any reason to fight, let alone do all this shit during combat.

I know what the author's getting at, but this is actual dogshit writing.

Yumina is death flags incarnate

On one hand her dying would make for Katsuya character development, but on the other hand she’s another cute girl for Akira to be on-edge around, and having Akira make a miracle to save her for Katsuya really puts Katsuya in a different mental state. My bets are on survival. There’s time for named characters to get killed off, but I think that will be saved for when they’re up against other humans.
