The manga wasn't very clear (or i missed it) on who's the master and who's the partner on the ninja samurai team(Suzu addressing Musashi with Sama hints that musashi has a higher hierarchy though), i'd laugh my ass out if the ninja-samurai team were to be defeated, the MC's actually getting the samurai man instead.

That's a good eye. I referred to that in the beginning, but then I thought it was just promotional art cause none of the girls matched so far. Maybe he'll end up of having a new harem set?

so, i think something should be called into question: what are the limitations of backstep? in the first fight mc was literally using it infinitely in fire. Now, physics can work differently in this world but i think it should be noted that landing in fire is very painful if not just melting mc's skin off. In other words there should be no reason to block any attack as backstep was literally used for infinite invincibility, and that's a weaker version of that. in fact, what would even be a weaker version of such a skill? why are we pretending like this is a challenge when backstep is gonna be reimplemented?

probably the challenge will be in how he will actually harm her.

Problem is that, that Image has 4 Girls in it.
And MC has collected 4 Girls already.
So, unless he is meant to lose one of them (in the future), and get the Ninja instead. Then i understand.
But at that moment this series would become an NTR.

Imagine it as a videogame.
Backstep moves away the body before it lose 1hp. Because fire is a area effect, the user is teleported away simply because moving isn't enough to avoid damages.

With the whole arena set on fire, he can fight in the clear part and teleport by jump into the flames.

reread chapter 2. specifically, page 25 where it is clearly said that he is moving at high speeds. rather than stating that it is teleportation. and it would still teleport him into fire. if i were to imagine this as a video game, i don't think the gamer designer would allow for infinite dodge roll to be a thing.

just fill the entire arena with fire. she can't hit him, and eventually she has to land on the ground so he can literally just sit in the fire forever and be fine cause haha fire ability is only removable by putting out the flame.
