It's real hard to differentiate characters with a monochrome palette... "you're grey, you're grey, you're slightly less grey, you're grey but with a slightly thinner face, you're super dark grey, and you're a loli..."
Being royalty/nobility/politician/statesman sounds like such a drag, constantly walking on eggshells all day, everyday, where every word uttered is a ticking time bomb waiting for somebody else to light the fuse for their own interests and ambitions.
