Get back at bullies, by breaking off her own horns?

Maeda is breaking them off to take the heat off of Aoki and/or drum up sympathy from those two girls that are being nasty towards Aoki.

Maeda's personality suddenly gets more depth and development than half the characters in other titles. If only it happened smoothly, and not in just 7-8 chapters...

I hope that this time the portal to the universe of space monsters does not depend on the horns.

This is a cunning plan to knock out your own teeth so that the bullies will think you're mad and stop touching you.

That feels like a stupid decision. You don’t know how that’s going to affect you, and this will definitely look worse. Hope they can regrow within a nights sleep again.
She recently spat venom due to stress, but otherwise everything is as usual. No danger.

Maeda is the ideal type of person you'd want to dislike you. At least she keeps it to herself.

Like everyone mentioned above, horns are made of multiple layers of bone permanently fused to the skull that never stop growing. There is live tissue inside. Antlers are similar, except they are "dead bone" once the velvet is shed. Until then, they're not meant to break off.

So I'm really hoping that dragons horns are not horns at all, but either antlers or more like rhino horns (keratin) or elephant tusks (ivory/enamel). However, keratin horns and ivory tusks don't have live tissue, so they wouldn't hurt.....

That, and only antlers ever come back. ;w;

Anyway, I don't know what Maeda's plan is, but she's starting to grow on me.

Looks painful
I don't know anything about fictional dragon horns, but animal horns tend to grow as hair projections or bony protrussions that start off as having nervous and blood supply then not having any in some cases. So really just depends, sometimes it is like cutting your hair and sometimes it is like cutting off a finger in terms of pain
