Why do I feel like I'm looking at The Entity from MW3 Zombies. Maybe because I played it too much.
The pacing of this manga is terrible because the mangaka puts to much effort and detail into unnecessary fights. They didn't have to draw her destroying fodder this long while using 20 new abilities. Same for the groups previous battle in the dungeon. The art is top notch but you can tell the fights take a significant amount of time to draw.

aaaGGH just get back to the MC!!! Or at least have the MC come in as a deus ex machina to save the day cuz (by most manga logic) only the MC can be competent!

What exactly did she think of that ice swordsman before that fight? Does she not know how MC's disappearance would rattle her that much? What's she trying to accomplish holding off the reunion between them?

Yeah, the raws in nicovideo were more confusing before because it didn't include the actual chapter number, which is what some raws sites follow up and created a mess (raws sites have up to "40", which is actually 20.2), now it do though, but is pretty behind the publisher website which is at 28.2

The answer to all of those questions is simple, she’s an a*shole meddler that like to be in everyone’s business. She probably thinks everyone is her personal “toy” to play with……in my opinion at least. Characters like her infuriate me so much cause they be annoying.

Probably either to make her independent so that she isn't restricted by lacking just one specific person.
Or wants to get her feelings sorted, as she believes that she can't do stuff without MC, but in reality she just missed him and loved him, but never came out clear as she never understood her own feelings.

The cynical in me: She's the author's agent, she's there to pad the story needlessly.
But the rationale in me: We don't know enough about the characters to say anything conclusive, we can see that the guildmaster knows more than us about the hero-girl and clearly acts on it, but that's about it.
Like, imagine if she stopped going on high-danger quests, because of the MC? That seems like a legit reason to educate the hero.
But either way, the real problem is that the author shows us decisions we cannot understand, so we can only be angry with them. Only now, did the author imply why the guildmaster is intervening: Hero-girl is not herself when it comes to the MC, and it's a problem.
That should've been revealed way earlier.
