The best info the guild master had was that whatever it was, the MC and his dragon wife was able to escape it. It deliberately hid from the assessor party so they had no good info to provide. Based on her spar with the MC, she should have a good grasp of his strength, and she should have a good grasp of other S-ranker strengths as well. Extrapolating that, it would have been reasonable for her to believe that an S-rank should be capable of escaping at bare minimum.

What you people that agree in guildmaster doing is actually confirming that the guild is indeed dumb and has no way to do shit other than that (which is worse).

S-rank is not cheap resource even if they are desperately in need of it. (Actually it happened in a lot of manga to show that their leader of the guild is indeed dumb). Now explain this? Is the risk appropriate for this rescue mission?

In real life, how many expensive trained rescuers die for the sake of people that are arguably worth less (i.e. old people near the end of their lifespan)? This happens far more often than you think. You don't abandon a rescue mission unless you know the risks are too high. In this case, the guild master had no way of knowing.

i was kinda hoping at least 3 would just die. would not impact the story negatively at all if 3 dickbags just died right here without anyone being able to do anything. hell it might just positively impact the story instead giving way for some real character development as well as the standard super saiyan power up moment.

Can't say if these characters are Dumb or idiots especially that Ice lady which chose to fight instead of doing a retreat ESPECIALLY BACK IN CHAPTER 25...Oh wait nevermind, this was all the author's doing just to spice things up.

EDIT: I am fully aware that the item used for escaping is Disabled, i wanna argue "Doesn't that Ice lady just blew up a Wall, why not just use that hole and maybe blast some more walls? Do as many layers of ice walls as possible to buy some time then escape on foot along with the party" But author has other plans how the scenario gonna be, Edit rant over

i think you missed the part where the black knight has full control of the area and built sturdier walls to prevent escaping.

Yeah, but imagine how freaked out the assholes would be if the trash they tried to kill, saved them and defeated this powerful monster. That's an additional punishment.

Damn, I really like the action scenes here. I think this is one of the rare fantasy mangas I've read that involves this much action.

Especially where she uses her "Ice Hammer", I've felt the impact.

Am I the only one who finds it really annoying with these popularized RPG based/isekai stories when there's an arc that takes focus completely away from the main character's group. Instead focusing on a group of characters nobody gives a fuck about having ridiculously elongated fights/battles that carry over several chapters or episodes all the while we are meant to wait in anticipation for the MC's group to arrive.
Lol, at least spice things up by cutting that out and have the MC arrive to see the aftermath of the conflict, then have a mini mystery where the main group now has to figure out how things unfolded, and possibly deal with an ambush.
These last few chapters man, they are just a waste of ink lol I even forgot that there's MC heading to dungeon with the inspector leader to reinspect the dungeon. What is the point of showing how dangerous the dungeon is with these characters which takes away opportunity for the main character to have an interesting arc where he can grow by struggling and overcoming with his group? This is almost like he just said, "You know what? Fuck that dungeon, fuck everyone, I'm going on vacation "
