it's not that many of us are saying he should forgive her or go back, it's mostly that he shouldn't make the experience his whole life. It's like Naofumi in shield hero, letting the betrayal at the beginning paint his image and relationship with everyone in the world is something he had to grow out of. Similarly, Hyce shouldn't let this define him and how he lives. He knows who's at fault so it's enough to just hold them responsible and distance himself from them. He doesn't need that same level of distrust with the rest of the world and he'll hopefully let other people in eventually.

What’s your opinion of Sasha as a character? I’m currently reading the novel (I’m on chapter 236), and while she has a few moments here and there, I can’t help but find her annoying. She constantly butts into things, and honestly, all the other female characters introduced so far feel more interesting and compelling than she does.

On one hand, Hyce is completely justified and I can also understand why he operates alone. On the other hand, both of these kids are stupid. I can't wait for more.

I think the miniature garden arc added a lot to her character because that's the point where she finally completely understood Hyce's feelings. I would say that she is en par with the other female characters.

I understand his point and everyone in the comments too. But I feel like she has her own circumstances we are not aware of so I'll hold my judgment on that subject.

Cutting him off the group because it puts him in danger is one thing. But making it seem like you are a bad person while doing it is just stupid...
But it's for the plot so what can we do. 🤷‍♂️

The thing about or atleast for the novel readers is that most people understand why she did it. But that doesn’t change the fact that she still exiled him.

It’s only hindsight that he awaken his abilities because of him being exiled!
That doesn’t change the fact that he got kicked out for not being good enough even though
The dream of being the strongest team was a dream they both share.
And he did his best when he was in the party to support them all this time but was left behind.

And because he got exiled he had to endured so much.

Not to mention the abuse she threw at him.

She not a bad person. But she choose the wrong path and couldn’t be honest about her feeling fears and worries

I can almost see how she hasn't apologized in 2 years, at 1st he fell unconscious after going off on her so I can see her team pulling her on a quest to give him some space, then when he recovered he was staying in ghetto inns and probably actively avoiding her and her party (no phones and required meet ups) I can see him actively rejecting any letter she sent him via the guild (which probably doubles as the post for the setting) , this doesn't mean it forgivable that it took that long, add the fact she was a bitch to him on their last adventure together and a bitch to him while kicking him out (the other team mates were nicer and most forceful one was trying to be gentle about (and the archer was against it)

I also thing people here are overdoing the edge lord theme sure he has an eye patch but he did actually lose an eye, and he still has trust issues

I’m pretty sure he never avoids her at all. But he just never went up to her. Part the reason why he so mad is that she had plenty of chance to over the last 2 years but she didn’t act at all

The thing about these edgy manga (and a lot of LN-based manga atp) is that usually the hook is strong but the writing runs out of gas far too early as if the story was designed to be axed.
I like the premise and the art, but I'm just worried the story can't carry itself to the finish line

I get why the MC is still bitter, because he has a point. If they only thought of his well being and that's why they banished him, then why not apologize and convince him in joining their party back to make their dream a reality? Apologizing now is worthless, it's only to appease themselves because they feel guilty, which doesn't do anything to the affected party.

I think nothing would have changed if they had stayed there with him until he got better, because with the point of his expulsion, the guy was thinking that she was trying to get rid of him by sending him to that place.
So even if they tried to apologize and say the real reason for the expulsion and also tell about the case of the beast in that place, he wouldn't believe it, the guy wouldn't believe it.

I thought the MC was just being salty, but two fucking years without an apology and you didn't even bother seeing him when he got injured?
This bitch is crazy

I am not saying she is at all in the right as she is not...but we don't REALLY know what happened in the span of the 2 years they were not talking. All we know is that she didn't talk to him nor did he talk to her. For all we know her and her team were nowhere near where he was the entire time OR if she went back to the same town with the guildmaster they both talk to then he may not have been around. Ships in the night kind of deal. That's why the guildmaster is the one who keeps telling him things from Sasha's perspective since she most likely talked to him. OR Sasha is just a really shy and timid girl on the inside and is too afraid of him blowing up like he just did to her. Again, not justifying her since she is very much in the wrong for not being the type of person who would swallow that pride and just talk to him, but she is also still a very young teen. We also don't know if anyone was actively trying to stop her from talking to MC or if they were spreading malicious rumors to make MC even more angry.

I think what gets me in this whole thing is that she thinks that she can continue following the dream of 2 people saying "our dream" when 1 of those 2 is no longer there. He is very much right about the fact it is now just her dream she is pursuing instead of their dream. I hope that becomes a wake up call for her to realize the situation.

Sometimes, the “Fuck You” needs to be said to the recipient’s face, especially when they just blueballed you for 2 years after getting you nearly killed, intentionally or not.

The part about them going on a mission is kind of overlooked, since it was probably the decision of the rest of the group so that she could clear her mind and then talk to him, but taking 2 years to say something is just plain nasty.
