Isekai is a trash genre.
The controversial reasoning:
It’s all power fantasy aimed at people with really low self esteem and a shitty track record with the opposite sex.
It’s wish fulfillment for dead ends and social losers that does nothing but dig themselves deeper in their mental holes by engaging in escapism.
The mother of all controversial logic:
Male oriented Isekai:
Doormat MC who is a social outcast suddenly becomes a godlike “exotic” “chad.”
His every move causes women to go crazy as he introduces basic knowledge to his new life all while somehow becoming an expert on things he should be mentally shocked by, magic/martial arts.
The average Japanese beta teenager gets reborn with all of his fetish waifus existing to do nothing but lust after his penis.
Oh, and they are also pushovers around him and are borderline slaves (ie internalized trust issues).
Female oriented Isekai:
If you thought Josei romance didn’t have enough sexual assault or rape, buckle up buttercup.
Seriously, what is up with women’s sexual fantasies?
Beta Japanese schoolgirl is reborn as some 20/10 blonde/redhead (hmmmm) and has a gaggle of (hyper flawed) studs simping for her nonstop.
Oh, she’s also supposed to be some villainess and escaping her death but she manages to Rainman her way out of all that because she was an Otome otaku (ie unappealing to men).
And I forgot to mention the most unrealistic part, she’s a nobleman’s daughter/princess and has autonomy beyond chewing her own food.
The controversy to end all controversy: Isekai is trash because losers gravitate towards it.
