A story cut short. A little lack luster sure but considering this all probably came to this type of conclusion due to the manga being axed it's not a bad ending.
Better than many other rushed endings of the mangas facing similar circumstances.

So yeah, the end, this is pretty much how the main story in the novel sorta originally ended (in both WN and LN), before author decided to overextend an after story epilogue when he reuploaded the WN to kakuyomu, that actually never went anywhere lol

Just for the record, and someone do correct me in case I'm remembering wrong, I'm pretty sure someone posted spoilers that light novel ends the same, web novel too I think?

So the manga didn't get axed, it ended where it was planned, I would argue the manga feels more underwhelming probably because it inevitably has to trim a lot of the fat from the original story, so in the light novel it might not feel as bad.
