@caitsith We'll see how much vigor you have when you open the door to this and you still have to be somewhere because people refuse to close schools or businesses until after you've dealt with this bullshit and gotten all the way to your destination.

The people in charge will absolutely refuse to cancel anything or call in a snow day until the last minute, every single time. If for some reason they really don't call it in at all, then you're the asshole for staying home for "no reason" just because you waited assuming it was going to be first pattern with a late ass call.

@Glomoro I have lived for a year in a city with heavy snowfall (over 5-6m per year) but the building had a mini motorized vehicle to clean the sidewalk (like a riding lawnmower bot for snow walls) and every night large machines cleaned the streets. Maybe because they have such high snowfall they are better prepared.
