The least believable/most surprising thing in this chapter is that Riho wasn't with Kubaru waiting for MC to come back. When MC didn't immediately come back safe she just let Kubaru leave with everything unresolved?

what the fuck is this clusterfuck of a story, i would say it's like not being able to look away from a car crash but that literally already happened. my man got a rough fucking day, kidnapped, threatened with a knife by a psycho woman, got his tongue pierced by another and then got involved on a high speed car crash.

Well this little flashback arc does give more insight on Kobaru's character, she was always charismatic and manipulative, trying to make people into her 'puppets'. Makes her seem more dangerous when she essentially got an adult to become completely loyal to her, and then have that person get in a position of company boss and her guardian, compared to just manipulating some random suicidal kid.

As @Gilthwixt said above, it's about the term itself: she can't be the "unreliable narrattor", since she isn't the "narrator". 🍅 is. She is just a liar, probably.

I don't think she killed her father but I do believe at first the bruise was from her father but after she stopped getting attention even from bad marks her father stopped punishing her. I think she also noticed how she could manipulate her step father using her bruises and ended up giving herself some in order to control her step father
