I kind of get the feeling it's Claire herself who refuses to be brought back to "life" with Dwight's powers. I have my doubts he'll succeed in resurrecting her, but I guess it's worth a try when he's already beyond death as an undead. His honesty with Grom about this single, most important personal objective of his is nothing if not admirable. I kinda like that he even considered the thought of bringing himself back to life if Natasha's research succeeds.

Well obviously the name came up a few times, double checked the raws, author is either making jokes or is severely lacking in ideas for naming the characters.

Don't think Dwight will solve his main problem, it's not a matter to make an undead, it may will inherit some traits as seen with Grom, but "soul" might be already in the afterlife. He clinged to his body through strong feeling of revenge, while hero simply moved on...

Honestly, hearing 'John Doe' I kind of thought they must have been an Isekai person (combined with the drastic tech advancements) but given she mentions he had a history of no achievements it does seem like it may actually just be his name...
