Ok so we got two version now :
The weebs version that really distinct the characters personality, the way they talk, and shows how the original writer intended it to be based on their culture but normies don’t really understand and outright hate it, and
The normies version wich both could enjoy but not really show the true spirit of the original writer (especially the ‘ara ara’ vibe).

As long there’s no drama, I’m fine with both.

Frankly speaking, neither translation reads as particularly good English. They both feel like they're from ESL speakers. The cleaning on CAT for this chapter is noticeably better, while the typesetting on Squiggles is cleaner and a bit more professional. Both releases would benefit from an editor.

You know, it's funny to see that it's the girl who seem dense here (no idea if she's just playing it) and the boy is the one who would make double bentos. The reversed gender roles also feel natural instead of a bit bizarre by this point which shows the creator really has some writing skills (despite this being his first actual manga and not H-manga).

These are usual Japanese words, if a person read manga, he should learn a little about Japan, it's history and certain simple words that are so much better left untranslated.
Gods bless Squiggles for such nice translations which are very very rare. Almost all localize text too much into West English with all Japanese atmosphere being lost. Many even drop honorifics which is total heresy
