You guys know that just because you are inbred first gen, you're going to have some horrible problems right? its a continuous build up. I welcome the trash
I love how neither of them are really idiots and are very upfront about their feelings. This means that a majority of the time, they are genuinely enjoying being around each other rather than dealing with some forced drama. Even if they claim to be pretending, I think the both of them know that their love is real. They have such a phenomenally healthy relationship with one another, and seeing that is this series' greatest strength.
@RayS “if the parents don’t have any recessive conditions”, tells me you dont understand how genetics work. Just how many genes do you you think humans have? Hint: it’s not 21, or 42, thats chromosomes and chromosome pairs. There’s literally millions of reading frames for our DNA, and you think, “oh so long as neither parent is suffering from recessive genetic disorders, it’s all good”? Assuming both parents have a copy of a resseive allele, (which is likely, as they have the same parents), their offspring have a 25% chance to be homozygous recessive.... per gene. Not just one gene, 25% for ALL gene pairs with homozygous recessive consequences. (Eg, sickle cell anemia, being a heterozygote gives some resistance to malaria, being homozygous recessive gives you sickle cell anemia.)
On the one hand, I should mind that they are siblings.
On the other hand, most supposed self styled """romance""" (can't put enough quotation marks around romance, so I'll leave it at 3) manga suck so hard at the romance part that I honestly can't even start to care them being siblings. Romance manga are so far and few that at this point I'll just take anything.
Frankly I'm not sure how to feel. On one hand this is incest. Like, full-on, no non-blood-related explanation, incest. On the other hand this is quite sweet. If it wasn't between siblings this could easily be one of my favourites.
@Masadeer
Yes, OK, I am not a geneticist and English is my second language, so I oversimplified the notions I somewhat understood. My primary goal was to check if that person missed a word or not. Looking back, I shouldn't have written that much before I realized there was a whole heated discussion, so could you kindly take your high horse and ride it into the sunset please?
Be honest, you all wouldn't like this cutesy over-the-top romance manga NEARLY as much without a taboo element of some kind, such as (in this case) incest, or gyaru, age gap, gay/yuri, etc.
