I'd have loved for the boys to see Haruki poking Hayato's abs. His love rival in particular. That would send them a message. But there was something better waiting: Haruki clearly choosing and pulling Hayato away with her to some place Kaido can't follow them. Is he giving up after that after realizing he was indirectly rejected?
Time for the classic good ol' romcom staple: falling girl caught by boy. That got Haruki all flustered, but it was not very effective on Hayato, and I'm not very amused. His disappointing lack of reaction is starting to make me doubt if he actually has any trace of romantic feelings not just for Haruki but for any of the other girls who are interested in him...
"Tasting senpai comes first~"
Wait wait, on page 20 this is the same background couple from page 27 of chapter 3! MFW the author doesn't make any side ship show up (well, until now with Iori and Ema) maybe to prevent comparisons with the main ship, but a random background ship shows them up anyway. This unnamed background couple is too powerful. The main ship currently pales in comparison with the sheer Reiwa energy this other couple is radiating.
