What kind of dragons do exist in RL? From what I've heard and read, Komodo dragons aren't cowards but apex predators. If you travel to their island, I wouldn't try to see personally if they are cowards or not.

I would need to peruse a better source, but the Wikipedia article goes to a great length to say that's just a misunderstanding. Apparently folks have witnessed prey managing to escape from komodo dragons, and then later any komodo dragon has found the weakened/dead animal started eating. That led to the conclusion that it's the komodo dragon's favourite method of hunting. But who knows, I doubt I'll go looking for the better sources. In any case, it's an animal ready to hunt and eat humans, so it can't be a total coward.

This is one of the reasons why he should have taken the time to kill the centipede. Get the levels and have an exit in case something strong lives in the tunnel.

he'd run out of mp before he can kill the centipede, and judging by where he met the ants they probaby wouldve found him before it died even if he used plague breath

Yes, use plague breath in an enclosed area with Nina and Ball Rabbit there. Sounds like a good idea, what could go wrong?

Can shoot it from quite far away and there’s no raging wind to blow it back. Was far more dangerous to use fire in an enclosed area but he did so regardless

It was pretty good at the start, but the author seems to have gotten really generous with the text boxes lately. A lot of this is stuff he should have either communicated nonvisually, spread over way more panels, or even just left out of the comic version for the sake of proper pacing. But you're right, there were enough bad pages this chapter to call it a total loss.

Honestly it makes sense in the context this is just adapting something but walls of dialogue never work well when the chapters aren’t very long and it releases slow. Same problem as long flashbacks in monthly series, makes it feel WAY too drawn out

IIRC MP and HP doesn't recover when he levels up, not even evolving recovers them.

I think he gets the MP for his max increasing (if he was at 50/100 and his max went to 105 he'd then be 55/105). Either way probably would have been smart to plague breath the thing and just leave it to slowly get worse since it's stuck.
