I don't know how much my personal taste is affecting this review but...
The set up for the conversation feels lacking, there is nothing that feels emotional about them except the layout being "this is emotional"-styled, no build up. It's partially a gag-manga but the disjunct between the two makes it feel like its a "hehe funnie" and "hehe emo" and I should clarify that emotional scenes are not supposed to have a "hehe" in the name. The exchange between Euphie and Illya has a distinct sense of faux-deep, which in crude terms, to reword what I said before, is the author telling us, instead of showing, that the scene is emotional.
Maybe I read it too fast and because of that I couldn't feel the pacing as the author intended, but whats for sure is that this isn't the only manga that does the "hehe emo" and gosh golly does it strain the immersive feel for me
