It doesn't look like mind control, because that man on page 26 appears utterly terrified, similarly the prince appeared enraged. It seems more like something playing off strong emotions rather than controlling the mind completely, suggestion might be a more apt description. I'm not quite sure what's going on, but if everyone who interviewed her felt that she was right and our lady was wrong it seems more likely that the baron's daughter has some way of persuading people to follow a certain belief of their own volition. Hmmm... interesting.
