A dragon and a tree being together might be the only time the dragon's partner can outlive the dragon.
@immortaljellyfish Good point about dryads, I'd forgotten they were a possibility. If one lives in the tree, would it be like the dryad sharing the tree with the dragon? Or is the dryad the same as the tree? I kinda like the idea of an OT3 with the tree in the middle, though; that sounds like a good idea for a fun, lighthearted comedy spin-off comic. 😅
