The whole point of those objects are to create the reality that the family is mexican, they serve their purpose, now, my OPINION is that they are somewhat racist (my bias being that I don't like how U.S.A. companies represent us mexicans because they focus mostly on the northern region or on immigrants), HOWEVER, that doesn't meant that families with mexican roots don't use or display said objects, thus it isn't an innaccurate representation, in fact, when the representation is done well, I would even praise them, see Coco, see Mario with a Sombrero in Oddyssey, see the 2020 Olympic representation of my country.

Do you understand the difference between De Jure and De Facto? There was a reason I used the later and no, posting the rules doesn't disprove it.

There is such as thing as "positive racism". Similar to the concept that some Asian students internalize that "they should be doing well in school because they are Asian". Just because a depiction could be positive doesn't mean it isn't racist.

Funny thing about "dogwhistles", most normal people don't even know they are "dogwhistles" so may just use them without knowing. Because it's not something blatantly obvious like saying "All Men are Evil", "Fuck Black People", "Whites are inherently Racist". But rather some random ass word that people have decided is a dog whistle. then decide anyone who uses them must be racist, sexist, or generally bigots.
