@MilkDust In a certain sense it's kind of... maybe irrelevant is not the correct word, but it's typically because of the game world aspects, even if the new world isn't a game world. It's just that a Japanese isekai fantasy world usually is like a game world, so it has elements that work similarly to one. In games the pocket dimension (inventory space) is a just a mechanism that makes RPG enjoyable to play, and it often doesn't officially exist, though it can in certain old-school RPGs where you can expand it with bags of holding and such.
